Preparing for Your Hypnotherapy Session

Preparing for Your Higher Self Hypnotherapy Session

Your upcoming Higher Self Hypnotherapy session is a valuable opportunity to connect with your inner wisdom and receive personalized guidance to help you achieve your goals. To ensure the best possible experience, we recommend the following steps to prepare both your mind and environment.

Preparing Your Mind

Engage Your Imagination:
In the week leading up to your session, it’s beneficial to begin regularly engaging your imagination. This practice helps establish a strong connection with your subconscious mind, making it more receptive during your session. Consider incorporating mind-heart coherence breathwork, visualization exercises, or guided meditations into your daily routine. These techniques can enhance the depth and effectiveness of your session.

Recommended Reading for Trauma Work:
Understanding the role of the ego and how it operates is essential, particularly if you are addressing trauma. Depending on where you are in your healing journey, we recommend the following books:

  • For those new to spiritual awakening and healing:
The Inner Work by The Yoga Couple (Matt and Ash). This book is an excellent introduction to understanding the ego, accompanied by meditations to support your journey.

  • For those more advanced in their journey:
A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose by Eckhart Tolle. This book offers a deeper exploration of spiritual awakening and the ego’s role in our lives.

Creating the Right Environment

Comfortable Positioning:
Choose a comfortable spot for your session. It’s best to avoid lying flat, as this can increase the likelihood of falling asleep. Instead, find a position where you are slightly propped up but still relaxed. This will help you stay engaged and fully present during the session.

Technology Preparation:
For the best experience, we recommend using a laptop, tablet, or computer rather than a phone. A strong and stable internet connection is crucial for online sessions. While you should use whatever equipment you have, for an optimal experience, over-the-ear headphones are best as they can create a more immersive and comfortable experience.

Optimal Environment:
Ensure your environment is quiet and free of distractions. Test your camera and microphone beforehand to confirm they are functioning properly, and adjust the lighting so you are clearly visible on screen.

Staying Grounded

Connect with Nature:
Spend time in nature in the days leading up to your session. Whether it's taking a walk, sitting outside, or simply breathing in fresh air, connecting with nature can help you feel grounded and centered.

High-Vitality Foods:
Nourish your body with high-vitality foods like fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Avoid highly processed foods, and make sure to drink plenty of water. Also, it is best to avoid caffeine before your session, as it can interfere with your ability to relax and focus. Keeping your body hydrated and well-nourished supports your mental and emotional well-being.

Set Intentions for Healing:
Take time to create clear intentions for your healing journey. Whether it’s through meditation, journaling, or simply reflecting, setting these intentions can guide the session’s energy and focus.

Spiritual Connection:
If you have a connection with a deity or a higher power, spend some time in prayer or meditation to strengthen that bond. Look for signs from the universe that might guide or inspire you as you prepare for your session.

Post-Session Integration

Allow Time for Reflection:
After your session, give yourself ample time to process and integrate the insights you’ve gained. Activities such as taking a walk, journaling, or simply resting can help you absorb the experience and continue your journey of self-discovery.

Recording and Social Media Preferences

You are welcome to record your session for personal use in whichever manner you prefer. We will discuss your preferences regarding recording and the potential sharing of your session content on social media during our pre-session chat.

“Please note that a strong and stable internet connection is necessary for online Higher Self Hypnotherapy sessions. It is recommended that you use a computer or laptop with a stable internet connection for the best experience. Mobile phones or tablets are not recommended (Incoming phone calls and messages can greatly interrupt the sessions flow or even the internet connection) for online hypnotherapy sessions. Additionally, earbuds are not recommended during the session as they may interfere with your ability to fully experience the hypnotherapy, Noise canceling headphones that go over your ears are highly recommended however anything will suffice.
